Awesome game, truly. I enjoyed figuring out what I was doing wrong to anger the mutant bird and the trepidation of seeing if you're going to be devoured this time added nice horror. I got three types of endings but there's probably more. Thanks for creating! (mouse is a bit oversensitive)
A downloadable game for Windows
Latarnia is a horror game where the player interacts with the environment to try to escape
from a lighthouse. Every interaction has consequences. The player's stuck in one room, but
every time they go up the stairs the time moves forward and they can see the effects of their
actions. However, if they don't like the changes they can always go one step back by going
downstairs. There are many endings for the player to discover.

The game is really well done! I personally am a big fan of PT style games where things change as you walk through, some some domino action and changes based off the player's action, and it just becomes a great game.
And this doesn't disappoint at all! It is very well crafted and in order to see more, the player has to explore the room and go through everything and try out different combination of changes in order to try to get a different ending or a different room from the previous play.
The art style I thought was very effective and added an air of mystery and really went well with the gritty, Lovecraftian theme of everything as well as the mysterious theme of the whole game. It had that old type vibe to it.
The things in the lighthouse were all very interesting and very unique to each other and it was a really well crafted theme and environment!
I didn't get all the endings in the video, but it was fun to go through the game and see things that would snowball into the ending slowly. Did play it a bit after and it was really very cool and well done!
Only suggestion is to maybe add a little hint in the ending acquirement setting to give the player a little idea on how to get the ending they want.
Other than that, it was a really well made game and loved playing it!
Very unique and clever spin on the Escape The Room/PT genre
The sound design and the minimalistic space makes this a head scratcher and also has great replayability value as the player feels an almost insatiable desire to unlock all the endings. The whole concept of going down a level to 'turn back time' and possibly rectify mistakes is cleverly incorporated into the gameplay mechanics.
I never felt that the game was guiding me by the hand, but also never stumped as to what to do next - it was a perfect blend of trying something new and only until the last couple of endings did I ever think that it became trial and error.
Great atmosphere - liked the nod to Willem Defoe's and Robert Pattinson film The Lighthouse
Great sound design - just goes to show that even with a simplistic idea an environment can be made with sound.
Interesting premise and unique use of a possibly saturated genre - There's a lot of Escape the Room and PT clone games out there, but Latarnia does something truly different to other games of its ilk.
Didn't appear to have sound options. When playing with headphones the sounds did seem to be coming through quite loudly.
May dissuade some folk that are not achievement hunters or want to complete trial and error towards the end
Show post...I like it
I had fun with playing this game. Sound effects were extremely great.
Very interesting vibe and idea. We thought this was really interesting. Very clever concept!
Super interesting concept, I tried my best to get all the endings, but I obviously didn't try hard enough as I think I am missing about 4 of them. Great game otherwise
What a great game! While I wasn’t really spooked, I enjoyed the ambience and strangeness Latarnia provides. You’ll get a workout though for sure. I posted a video for anyone that gets stuck, as I got all the endings, but it’s so much more enjoyable to find them. I don’t recommend watching unless you’re really stuck, as my video cuts out my dozens of failures and leaves only a guide to get the endings.
I’d like to see more games like this. It’s always fun to discover.
Thank you! :D Congratulations for discovering all endings! And thanks for the feedback.
Does not install via the itch desktop launcher. Can you please fix ?
(ALL 9 ENDINGS) THIS PLANT LOOKS LIKE A WAP
I'm back with part 2 of the game! Its still uploading so it might not show right away.
Pros and cons are down below) Check out the gameplay here (the game is the 3d there):
1. I absolutely love the concept. There are so many differnet endings and ways to go through the game. Makes the player want to know more and try again and again. I love how well though the consequences are!
2. The game is atmospheric! It reminded me a bit of the film Lighthouse (which is expectable cuz the game takes place in a lighthouse).
3. The weird noises are so unsettling! I loved them. I didn't get why the oven was so chatty and what it wanted from me but them whispers freaked me out!
1. The endings are a bit bland. I guess some nice sound cues would improve the situation a lot. The sound of a raven woman sreaming or seagals squeeking (or whatevet they do) would be nice to add, for example.
2. The whole concept of kiling a seabird being a bad omen needs to be underlined. Maybe it would be cool to make this sentence appear before the game starts after the player presses "play". Because for me the game was cool but after I paid attention to the title (at the very end of my playthrough), it made so much more sense suddenly.
The game is cool, add a bit more vibrant endings and the experience will be perfect. Still, I believe the hard work deserves appreciation and the game deserves a 5-star rating.
Hope my feedback was useful!

This is such a cool game! I've never been so determined to get all the endings in a game. I love how subtle the different decisions you have to make are. This took me a long time and a lot of trial and error to beat, but I managed to figure this whole thing out! Fantastic game!
